C$2B was committed in Budget 2024 across three pillars: up to C$705M for a public supercomputer (the AI Sovereign Compute Infrastructure Program), C$700M for commercial data-center incentives (the AI Compute Challenge), and C$300M for SME access (the AI Compute Access Fund). Budget 2025 added C$925.6M over five years, C$800M of which came from Budget 2024 set-asides. The Canada Infrastructure Bank is empowered to invest in AI infrastructure. No accelerator counts appear in official documents. The 'AI for All' national strategy launched 2026-06-04: the AI Compute Access Fund was topped up from C$300M to C$1B, C$700M of it new, and sovereign-compute capacity of 850MW rising to 2.3GW is proposed — partnerships are being finalized and the capacity is not yet committed.
