In an April 2025 Bloomberg interview, Cassava’s CEO described an investment plan of up to US$720M, with 3,000 GPUs targeted for South Africa by June 2025 and 12,000 across Africa over three to four years. Cassava subsequently announced AI services in South Africa and plans to expand into Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and Morocco.
