Sovereign programme
Thailand: National AI Strategy and Action Plan (2022-2027) + ThaiSC/LANTA + ThaiLLM
ThaiSC, NSTDA’s supercomputing centre, operates LANTA at Thailand Science Park in Pathum Thani. Its 176 GPU nodes contain 704 NVIDIA A100s; another 160 CPU nodes and ten high-memory nodes support scientific computing. The 346-node system has 8.15 PFlop/s peak performance and a 200 Gbps Slingshot interconnect. In April 2026, NSTDA announced the release of ThaiLLM’s 8B- and 30B-parameter models, trained on more than 100B Thai tokens and served on ThaiSC infrastructure. The project brings together MDES, BDI, MHESI and NECTEC, with support from the Digital Economy and Society Development Fund.
