Coatlicue is a planned public supercomputer for research and government services. Secihti’s November 2025 announcement specified 14,480 GPUs, an estimated 314 PFLOPS and approximately MXN 6B in investment. A June 2026 agreement placed it at IPN’s Zacatenco campus and established a technical committee led by Secihti and ATDT. Mexico’s research unit at Barcelona Supercomputing Center is working on meteorology, medical appointment scheduling and tax-fraud detection. The May 2026 presidential update said Coatlicue’s financing model was still being developed, including a special fund and paid services for commercial users.
