Sovereign programme
Czech Republic: CZAI AI Factory + IT4Innovations + KarolAIna
CZAI will combine the KarolAIna supercomputer with technical support for companies, public bodies and researchers. IT4Innovations announced a design of about 340 AI chips and 850 PFlop/s of AI performance; the announcement does not specify the chip model or numerical precision. The €40M project is funded equally by EuroHPC and Czechia. About half covers the machine’s procurement and operation, with the rest for services. Planned campuses in Prague and Brno will provide contact points for students and young professionals.
