Crusoe's Goodnight data center is notable for a major mid-flight change in design. It was originally designed in 2024 for seven X-shaped buildings that closely mirror the first eight buildings of the OpenAI Stargate Abilene data center (also built by Crusoe). This was revised in 2025 to 6 buildings, with Buildings 3-6 using a simple rectangle shape.
